Iran film critics and screenwriters gala announces winners

The 12th edition of Iran film critics and screenwriters gala has announced winners.

The jury has named the winners at different sections of the festival, the media reposted. The winners are as follows:

Best make-up award: - Saeed Malekan for ‘The Lost Strait’

Best set and costume design award: Mohammad-Reza Shojaee for ‘The Lost Strait’

Best music score award: Sohrab Pournazeri for ‘Flaming’

Best sound engineering award: Taher Pishvaee and Ali-Reza Alavian for ‘Damascus Time’

Best actor in a supporting role award: Farhad Aslani for ‘Sheeple’

Best actress in a supporting role award: Sahar Dolatshahi for ‘Cold Sweat’

Best actor in a leading role awards: Amin Hayaee for ‘Flaming’ and Navid Mohammadzadeh for ‘Sheeple’

Best actress in a leading role awards: Baran Kosari for ‘Cold Sweat’ And Sara Bahrami for ‘Axing’

Best directing award: Houman Seyyedi for ‘Sheeple’

Best film award: ‘Sheeple’

The gala also held a section to honor 40 years of cinema for children and youth in Iran. The honorees are as follows:

Best screenplay: ‘Bashu, the Little Stranger’

Best Director: Kioumars Pourahamad

Best teen actor: Mehdi Baqerbeigi

Best teen actress: Taraneh Alidousti

Best child actor: Farrokh Hashemian

Best child actress: Aida Mohammadkhani

est children film: ‘Where is the Friend's Home?’

Best teenage film: ‘Bashu, the Little Stranger’

Directed by Jafar Goudarzi, the 12th Iran film critics and screenwriters gala was held on December 18, 2018.
